nobody, not even the "cultists" deny that obama was a witty and 'cool' guy, that he was an outstanding talker and that his administration was remarkably scandal-free.

the core of their criticism of obama and their opposition to him mostly does not stem from the fashion in which he performed politics, it comes from opposition to the policies that he pursued. obama's political 'optics' were always top-notch, but the content of his policy was not.

maybe you should look up the difference between "politics" and "policy".

you talk about the actual cultists. I was talking about the large percentage of trump-supporters who are constantly accused of being cultists.

I've found that quite a few people on PaRD are not capable of distiguishing between "cultists" and average everyday joe's and jill's that support Trump. They paint with a broad bunch and lump everyone together. Duff and Fender are in the group, and unable to critically think it seems.

People on the right do this as well, don't get me wrong.

while i agree, i find the distinction rather moot. When John McCain stood up and shouted down the far right and said "we're going to treat this man with the dignity and respect he deserves" he was perhaps 1 candidate in 100. Most on the right aren't extremists, nor are the left. But both groups sit in silence with a shit eating grin in the face of extremism on their side, they know it serves their side in elections regardless of it being too factually loose for them to espouse personally.
