just because all the intelligence agencies as well as the senate intelligence committee agree and have evidence that russia meddled, trying to help trump win the elections, doesn't mean it's true. they are all secret democrats and rinos anyway, those indictments of dozens of innocent russian citizens who did nothing wrong are completely baseless, and the obama appointed, life long democrat mueller, who has a horrible reputation amongst his peers, is clearly just trying to hurt the poor emperor...

And the media he is constantly criticizing has also been caught lying to the american people over and over again.

they key difference is that any person with at least one iota of brain knows that you cant take everything trump says for granted, while the so-called "quality press" is claiming to provide objective and neutral coverage while they in fact dont - and a lot of smart people believe it, simply because their own anti-trump bias is confirmed by the "quality" press' biased and manipulative coverage of him.

it doesnt matter which lies Bumfuck Joe from West Virginia with his IQ of 80 is believing, because he will always follow some manipulative liar; he simply isnt capable of doing better than that.
it does matter a lot more to the efficiency and civilty of the public discourse when even professionals and people who could and should know better embrace their inner hyperpartisan and fall for shitty fake news. Bumfuck Joe will always be what you call a "trench boy", even in a world without Trump. Smart people, professionals, if they turn into "trench boys" as well by indulging themselves in CNN coverage and shit like that, is a much more serious development. They are supposed to be the reasonable ones, they are the ones supposed to think outside the box and see the bigger picture of things; they are the ones supposed to keep society together. If they turn their brain off as soon as it comes to Trump and give in to their seething hatred of him, things will go downhill.

so you're holding CNN to a higher standard than the president, and even though they objectively DO fulfill that (lies are worse than bias, when they actually report falsely, they retract it and even fire the ppl responsible) it 'doesn't matter' because no one believes trump anyway, but everyone believes cnn? strange how that works whenever it fits the narrative, have you seen media credibility polls lately? this forum is filled with people who believe him and don't hold him accountable for even the most outrageous and obvious lies he repeats over and over again - and you are one of them for the most part (admittedly there are some who are even worse). we truly live in a post-fact world...
