Media is the enemy of the American people, European Union is a foe, Putin is fine.

Totally normal, totally healthy.

well, a hyperbolic statement, as we're used to from trump. but at its core, he's totally right - no matter how his talks with putin go, the media will either critize him for being too cozy with putin/russia and that he was bought by them, or that he is a warmonger who's taking a much too hard and hostile stance and is pushing us to the brink of ww3. i dont think there's any chance for a middle ground between these two poles.

Jeff Glor: "The Russians who were indicted, would you ask Putin to- to send them here?"

PRESIDENT TRUMP: "Well I might. I hadn't thought of that. But I certainly, I'll be asking about it. But again, this was during the Obama administration. They were doing whatever it was during the Obama administration. And I heard that they were trying, or people were trying, to hack into the RNC too. The Republican National Committee. But we had much better defenses. I've been told that by a number of people. We had much better defenses, so they couldn't. I think the DNC should be ashamed of themselves for allowing themselves to be hacked. They had bad defenses and they were able to be hacked. But I heard they were trying to hack the Republicans too. But, and this may be wrong, but they had much stronger defenses."

Trump hasn't even thought about extraditing the 12 Russians that were indicted by his own Deputy Attorney General?

Perhaps he is thinking about bringing the topic up later as a negotiating tactic, but I doubt it. He probably considers responding to the indictments delivered by his own DoJ as an endorsement of the Special Counsel.

Uhh... no.

He just has to do what any normal president would do, which is call out Putin for election interference, and warn him not to do it again. He also needs to maintain America's stance on Russia's annexation of Crimea. It's not rocket science, and it's what his advisers are going to tell him to do. He'll still manage to fuck it up somehow.

Article 61
1. A citizen of the Russian Federation may not be deported from Russia or extradited to another State.

He might as well ask them to give him Moscow.

More of a comment toward his attitude and response toward the indictments and Special Counsel findings than the actual process of extradition.

So he should waste valuable summit time, asking for things he and/or his advisors, know he can't get, just to make who... Mueller, the Dems, the people, feel better?

/e Even IF he does ask for extradition, then the Dems will just make fun of him for doing it.

Again: The fact that he hasn't even thought of doing anything with the 12 Russians indicted by his own DoJ has more interesting implications in how he views the Special Counsel than the actual process of extradition itself.

Put in a different way: We probably aren't getting those 12 Russians. But Trump doesn't even see their crimes as an issue. Furthermore, he goes out of his way to downplay the significance of the indictments.
