I was in the middle of a BLM "Pro-Palestinian" vs Israeli protest in Chicago and it got pretty crazy.

I know it's not similar but in Chicago gangs run the streets so when I see Hamas runs Gaza it reminds me of the scummy low life ability to mesh in with the regular population after committing crimes.

No one is going to snitch on a gang member in the same way is a Palestinian citizen going to risk death to snitch on Hamas or are they going to do what they are told so they don't die today.

Terrible situation all around and ironically if things do escalate and they will we'll be right on the doorstep of WW3 because bigger powers come to do their bidding. This is what Hamas wants!!

Not a supporter of Hamas and I condemn them completely, but theres a difference between Hamas ' a terrorist organization' and Israel ' A free democracy'. Israel needs to be held to higher standards. Withholding electricity, food and water from 2 million people because of the actions of few others and only releasing it if hostages are released is by definititon collective punishment under the geneva convention and constitutes war crime.

Israel can and has the right to defend itself but that doesnt require cutting out food electricity and water for 2 million people

Yes a few others... Not everyone in the gaza strip supports hamas and not everyone there is an enemy combatant. Ive seen videos of them cheering Israeli innocents and I can find videos Israelis cheering palestinian innocent. None of this is relevant. My point stands. Preventing food aid and electricity to millions of people as a punishment for Hamas constitutes as collective punishment and is illegal.
