Trump striking a diplomatic tone in his press conference with Theresa May, and seems to be defending our relationship with Europe and NATO. I like it.

https://www.dhs.gov/news/2018/07/12/trump-administration-completes-reunification-eligible-children-under-age-5

There are 103 children under age 5 covered by the court case. Of the 103 children:

57 children have been reunified as of 7 a.m. EST on July 12.
46 children were acknowledged by the court to be ineligible for reunification or determined by HHS, DHS, and DOJ to be ineligible under court-approved criteria.
Of these 46:

22 children have been found ineligible due to safety concerns posed by the adults in question:
1 adult is being treated for a communicable disease.
1 adult planned to house the child with an adult charged with sexually abusing a child.
1 adult was alleged to have abused the child.
1 adult had a falsified birth certificate (parentage is being examined).
7 adults were determined not to be a parent.
11 adults have a serious criminal history (charges or convictions for child cruelty, kidnapping, murder, human smuggling, domestic violence, etc.).
24 children are not currently eligible for reunification due to circumstances of the adults in question:
12 adults have been deported and are being contacted.
9 adults are in custody of the U.S. Marshals Service for other offenses.
2 adults are in custody of state jails for other offenses.
1 adult’s location has been unknown for over a year

It's absurd that we are even having a debate in this country on whether it's OK to illegally enter a country and expect to be treated like (or even better than) a citizen.

Why is it so hard to understand that sovereign nations have borders and if you wish to be a part of a nation you must enter LEGALLY?

Everybody knows this. The Democrat elites won't admit it because they see illegals as potential future votes. And the peasants who mindlessly watch CNN won't admit it because they're too brainwashed and/or afraid of being politically incorrect.

lets be honest, the open borders crowd and the open amnesty crowd aren't a large sector. while there are "debates" going on, to be sure, there are "debates" going on about the shape of the earth. i dont think that a vocal minority is a reflection on the populace, and that's admitting that the flat earth crowd isn't a poor reflection on society. something that's hard for me to stomach saying.

You're right they are a minority. But a very vocal minority. They also prove to be useful idiots for the Democratic party elites, who do want open borders. And you honestly can't blame them. There's zero chance they're winning elections in the future on policy alone. They need the illegal voters and lax voter ID laws to have a chance.

That being said, just be glad people are still smart enough to not be completely brainwashed by virtue-signalling liberal journalists who constantly imply that open borders are, by definition, virtuous and mutually beneficial.

As average IQs fall and society is further torn apart by factors such as poor education systems, lack of values, and the disintegration of the traditional nuclear family we may well reach a point where the majority of people really are so stupid that they completely agree with the liberal agenda unironically.

In wake of a new indictment against Russian agents, Dan Coats warns that Moscow’s 'actions are persistent, they’re pervasive, and they’re meant to undermine America’s democracy.'
America’s digital infrastructure “is literally under attack,” Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said Friday, with Russia as the most aggressive foreign actor, intent on undermining U.S. democracy.

His remarks came shortly after the Department of Justice announced charges against 12 Russian intelligence officials over alleged efforts to hack into the DCCC, the DNC, and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The intelligence officials are accused of disseminating the stolen information using the names DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0.

“These actions are persistent, they’re pervasive, and they are meant to undermine America’s democracy on a daily basis, regardless of whether it is election time or not,” Coats said of Russian activities.

He compared today’s warning indicators related to cyberattacks to those in the run-up to 9/11. “It was in the months prior to September 2001, when according to then-CIA director George Tenet, the system was blinking red,” he during an event at the Hudson Institute. “And here we are nearly two decades later, and I'm here to say the warning lights are blinking red again.”

Maybe Trump should start listening to his own intelligence and law enforcement appointees?

Trump shifting the blame from Putin to Obama.

This guy is compromised... I think it's time we stop pretending otherwise.
