The main point flew right over your head (unsurprisingly) it was an example to demonstrate that fiction writers frequently use real world places and events as a backdrop to their story.

If you want another example that checks the box "people must also believe that their god is real) then I got you covered;

Krishna from Gokul and born in Mathura both real places
Buddha in Nepal
Zeus in Crete
Pele in Tahiti
Etc etc...

Take your pick.

You’re still missing the key difference. Those are religious or mythological claims, not known fictional characters like Spider-Man. The question about Jesus Christ is whether there’s historical evidence he existed—not whether stories can use real places. Different issue entirely.

You’ve switched from ‘fictional characters’ to ‘religious figures people believed in.’ That’s a completely different category. You’re not making one consistent argument—you’re moving the goalposts.

Do you understand what proof actually means?

You are quoting a book which makes baseless assertions as if they were true without demonstrating or validating them to be true. Using the bible to prove the bible is circular reasoning.

How do we know there is a god? Can a you or the bible prove this assertion?
If a book tells you there is a giant cosmic turtle that governs the universe how would you know? This is called being guillable and believing a book at face value without any verification.

Hopefully you have some physical and demonstrable proof to back it up without mindlessly copy pasting random bible quotes.

I do know what proof "actually" means, but the proof of a photo/video/modern day bs etc. is not going to be something that is provided for you.

I am quoting the bible after walking with Jesus for 14 years now. I'll take my personal experience and encourage others to do the same. I have "learned" he is "real" through "personal experience" I have taken real modern day things, science, physics, and math that all point towards a creator. It is not possible for anything to exist otherwise.

I have been in your shoes before and I will never go back.

The bible does not include baseless assertions whatsoever. It is not mathematically possible for multiple authors to write approximately 2500 distinct prophecies in which around 2000 have already been fulfilled. There is not another book/religion/claim that accounts for everything perfectly from start to finish other than the bible.

I know exactly where you are in your heart, mind and know exactly what it takes to learn of God's goodness and truth and it all starts with you. The price has already been paid for your life and until you start having faith in Jesus you will continue to have this void that you can't shake.

God's word will always, literally ALWAYS exist no matter what you or anyone tries to do. Truth and love will always overcome evil.

You made a claim that god created the entire universe including a blade of grass which you also claimed is more complex than my computer. If your god is so powerful then why is he struggling to make a simple iphone? Maybe he didn't make the universe and perhaps there is no god at all and it is just humans trying to use god as a glorified gap filler in things we dont understand. Have you considered that?

Also you are asking science to make you a blade of grass yet coming up with excuses when your religion is made the same request. Applying one set of standards to science but not to your god. This is hypocritical and called special pleading fallacy.
I would coinphrase it as "god simping". Try to be objective and apply your logic equally and if you can't then don't expect others to make you a blade of grass.

Is there irrefutable proof of a materialist model of the universe? If so I’d really like to see

 nice dodge.

If you walked with jesus for 14 years why don't you take a selfie with him  he is right there next to you isn't he?
How else can we verify this "jesus" and confirm you aren't delusional?

Any monkey can make claims that their god is real but can you prove it, demonstrate how he is real and not your imagination?

If you've taken science to point to god describe how did you arrive at that conclusion. Submit your science, math etc for peer review.

You haven't been in my shoes stop the cap.

The bible hasn't fulfilled a single prophesy stop the lies. If you would like to talk about these so called prophecies we can discuss this in depth.

Now you are just pretending to know whats in my heart and mind. More arguments from ignorance about a void that needs to be filled. 0 proof as usual.

Answering your questions with truth isn't "dodging". Jesus is with me in spirit. More scripture coming your way.

1 Corinthians 6:17: "But the one who joins himself to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him"

John 17:21-23: "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us... I in them, and thou in me"

Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me"

Romans 6:5: "For if we have become one with Him in a death like His, we shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His"

(In your shoes as in an unbeliever)

You haven't provided proof just asserting bible is true without demonstrating how its true
Why should we believe anything the bible claims?

Also give me just 1 prophesy where it was fulfilled by the bible, ill wait.

You are still posting Facebook memes that have inaccurate data. It never gets old.

In the Book of Isaiah (written around the 8th century BCE), the prophet describes how Babylon, then not yet the dominant empire it would later become, would be conquered by the Medes. Isaiah 13:17 says that God would stir up the Medes against Babylon.

Centuries later, Babylon did rise to power, becoming one of the greatest empires in the ancient world. Then in 539 BCE, it was conquered by the Medo-Persian forces led by Cyrus the Great.

It was conquered by Persians under Cyrus not Medes. If US captures iraq and has a few soldiers with Japanese ancestry it doesn't mean Iraq was captured by Japan. How dense do you have to be?

The city was not destroyed in the apocalyptic, total slaughter described in Isaiah 13, but was instead incorporated into the Persian Empire with relatively little bloodshed.
Babylon continued to be inhabited and to serve as a major imperial capital for centuries which contradicts the bible claim it would be deserted forever.

There is a bunch of other things there that don't line up

Isaiah 13:20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

Arab people spent decades living there excavating the city. They estimate only about 3% of babylon has been excavated. Saddam Hussain even built his own palace inside, US army set up a temporary base inside that palace lmao. Now its a unesco heritage site.

You have to be intentionally lying to yourself by now. This is epic fail

Modern reading of ancient prophetic language.

I can't help you with your lack of understanding with God's word.
