Its pretty simple.

“We can forgive the Arabs for the killing of our children but we cannot forgive them for forcing us killing theirs, there will be peace when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us.

Hamas cannot draw support from a population that has a stable life, Hamas must bomb israel to draw israeli bombing in return. they need to be bombed to keep the attention on Israel. they need the people to believe that it is only Israel's fault they can't leave, they can't build up, etc.

to the people of Gaza, because of Hamas propaganda, they only reason they're stuck with no support is Israeli hate.

Gaza may be a prison, but Hamas are the guards, not the IDF.

Yeah, the relationship between Gaza and Hamas will need to change. How that will happen, I don't know.

NBC reporting that a Hamas spokesperson said that they're planning on releasing non-Israeli hostages.

TIL it was actually hamas that told millions of already severely deprived palestinians that they have to leave their homes within hours if they don't want to get blown to smithereens, and that it is actually hamas that controls gaza's land- and sea- borders, as well as its airspace and its resources. silly me thought that was israel and the IDF...

will be difficult to impossible. israel's brutal airstrikes have already created a massive death toll amongst palestinian civilians. hamas could not have asked for a better recruitment tool.

like i said in previous posts: extremists like hamas had the lowest support when israel's occupation was felt the least, when the IDF did not regularly abduct and brutalise palestinians at random, when they didn't threaten and kill reporters, when israel did not push their settlements into palestinian territory, and sealed their wells in the middle of a heat wave, and when they didn't severely restrict resources and activities in the occupied territories - and crucially, before netanyahu actively supported hamas in order to prevent more moderate voices to lead.

again, the notion that palestinians support radicals because hatred and terrorism is somehow in their nature, in their genes, is absurd - that's just racist hogwash perpetuated by the pro-occupation crowd in order to deflect from the main reason: israel's ongoing illegal occupation. that has to change before you can realistically expect the support for radicals to abate...

The blockade exists because Hamas is the government in power in Gaza. Hamas believes explicitly in the destruction of the Israeli state. Peace begins when Hamas turns themselves in to the international community to face the death sentence for war crimes. Failing that, Gaza will need to be occupied and the political leadership of Gaza cut out and destroyed.

LOL, you act like this didn't happen for years on end before Hamas.
It did. ;)

There really isn't negotiating with terrorists' directly....

I saw the number of hostages go from 40-80-120-200 according to MSM and it's hope porn for public consumption...

Remember when that Titan submersible imploded going down to view the Titanic but they kept it in the news cycle for a week saying, "They may still be alive and time is running out".

Most of them are already dead and imo the more hostages Hamas "looks like they have" the better for them. They can say most are alive when in reality almost all are dead and draw the response they want not what they expect.

Gaza voted and elected Hamas,
Hamas governs in Gaza.
If they prefer to hold our hostages instead of providing fuel and electricity to their 1m+ people.
It’s their call… and that how it will remain..
I keep seeing whines of terror supporters here that condemns the ‘no electricity, no water blah blah’
