Well, on to something that actually matters...

Top U.S. Senate Democrat vows to fight Trump's Supreme Court pick

I wonder how many days these confirmation hearing can encompass before they change from being a method to make sure of SC appointees, to just plain stalling.
In this case, I feel that Schumer, is just stalling. Possibly he has some hope that this appointment or his "fighting it with everything he has" stalling will influence voters before November 6th.

I'm not even sure that Senators are allowed to disqualify appointments, based on what they "might" do. I always thought these hearings were limited to what the appointees have already done.
Either way, I'm getting out my waders, cause the Democrap is about to get seriously deep.

imho, the Dem leadership knows they're fucked and cant really stop Kavanaugh, with the filibuster gone, a GOP majority in the senate and a candidate that is not extreme enough to have any hopes of collins or murkowski blocking him.
imho, they are just putting up a fight for show, so that they can tell their base that they tried everything in their power to stop him.

france had an emperor who picked a bunch of fights too, including with the russian winter. of course france had to borrow him from corsica (when they had a revolution to replace a monarch with an emperor  ) because as Santara i believe said, french men don’t win wars.

When a "fact check" website keeps making these mistakes, they lose credibility. This isn't a CNN opinion article, it's supposed to be an objective fact check.

do they, in your opinion, make these 'mistakes' (?) often enough to be dismissed as 'paid shills' and 'hacks'? and if so, who pays them for their shilling, and could you name some other examples of their partisan hackery, and tell me how high you estimate the percentage of extremely biased articles vs. objective fact checking?

it seems the standard for any outlet critical of the emperor is extremely high. a single mistake, a few biased articles that trigger the cult, and you're automatically 'fake news' or 'paid shills'...

I dunno bro. I think we are WAY past "a few biased articles". This has been more like a year and a half long landslide of not only biased, but severely non-factual reporting.
IMO, all we get anymore is "a few truthful articles" in a sea of bullshyt.

oh sure, it's pure coincidence that this article got singled out but the hundreds that correctly point out trump's frequent misrepresentations and outright falsehood not. even worse, they are all 'paid shillery' now and nothing they publish can be trusted anymore...

don't get me wrong, it's fair to call them out for their bias, and this article certainly deserves it - but again, this is not what this is about, it's an orchestrated attack on every critical outlet while the administration itself and the outlets friendly to it are significantly worse when it comes to bias and truth...

it is quite interesting and telling that the bias in "a few biased articles" always, without exception, falls to the same side, dont you think?

even quality media will from time to time publish weak or unconvincing or factually incorrect or politically biased articles, yes. you're right in that regard. but from a site that claims to be objective, to be strictly sticking with facts, one would assume the occasional bias to get distributed rather evenly over both sides of the aisle. after a certain point, it's just no longer plausible to blame sloppiness or randomness - after a certain point, the only plausible explanation is that it's a deeper pattern, a bias of the site itself.
