The australian data is from 2011 and the american data is from 2017, bit odd.
Based off ABS census data pulled every 5 years. The ratio worsened to 0.5% in the 2016 census.

Oh, do tell us about the differences between the countries methodologies. I mean, I'd be happy to explain to you why infant mortality is different, like how Americans consider any demonstration of life at all a live birth, whereas there are countries that deem any infant death within 24 hours of birth as not being a live birth.

About infant mortality, it's true that the metrics are different that put America at a disadvantage but even after accounting for that America still has higher infant mortality, at least according to the analyses that were done shortly after Obamacare was passed.
It would be nice to see more recent numbers but I very explicitly remember going over this in detail during the healthcare debates on the Forum.
We do, because we have higher pre-term births, but I imagine you remember that from previous discussions.
