My favorite part about the nationalized healthcare debate is that the most conservatives estimates say we would end up 2+ trillion more efficient as a result. As in, we as a nation would pay 2 trillion less in taxes than we currently pay in health insurance premiums.

Well yeah, it is common sense, government has more buying power.
The us has the most expensive medicine on earth.

Oh, that's just based on the efficiency of removing a profit-seeking middle-man. The government having negotiating power isn't included, but would almost certainly make the costs go down further.
