so basically, Blue Team is sitting at 1st&10 at the 1-yard line needing 1 more point to win. He has many ways to score. Could kick a FG, run it in, throw it in. He could even get a PI call in the endzone and get a new set of downs to extend the game. There is only a tiny chance of a major fuckup, like a Malcolm Butler interception.

And so the decision is to call a timeout that will last 2 days.

Not in the least. I'm not really IN the game any more. My only concern here, is that the generations following...will have things... as good as I did. Or at least the opportunity for that.
