Might doesn't make right victory makes the writers of history which makes right. If Russia takes all of Ukraine entirely and solidifies control (not possible and not even a goal for Russia, but a good example of an extreme resolution that the West would be exceptionally unhappy with), the West will refuse to accept it. But that won't last forever. Russia is not isolated. The attempt to isolate Russia not only failed but backfired spectacularly. The US isn't going to cut off relations with Mexico and India just because they refuse to sanction Russia. 50-60 years from now when emotions have quieted down, relations will improve once more (hopefully sooner). The US will no longer be the economic control, China will have assumed that position. China is quite happy with Russia costing themselves and the West billions and distracting everyone in the interim. China would be fine with Russia controlling Ukraine, so inevitably Russia would control Ukraine and the West would get over it for their own benefit.
That's not what's going to happen. Russia is at most going to have the separatist region and Crimea I'd wager. But the West will get over it. Russia didn't do this out of the blue without justification. An unfriendly coup occured on their borders, and a humanitarian crisis was occuring in the separatist region and noone anywhere was even willing to talk about it. I guarantee the US would quickly move to deal with a sudden anti-US government coup in Mexico that was waging war on the American population in Mexico. Hell the US was willing to lie to the world in order to attack Iraq, which was never a real threat to anyone. Indeed it turned out that Iraq was a keystone in preventing an organization like ISIS from rising up.
This is really no different. Which is exactly why most of the world is staying out of it. The rage cannot be sustained even with the help of propaganda. The West, inevitably, will be more concerned with profit and comfort. Ukraine is costing hundreds of millions of people in inflation and wasting incredible amounts of taxpayer money on a futile effort that is accomplishing nothing for their benefit.
