Federal law that all firearm purchases undergo whats called an NICS. National Instant Background Criminal Search before any firearms are sold. What is an Assault weapon exactly, my .45 acp glock can do more damage then a 556 Colt style AR. One is a handgun or pistol, the other is a cool looking rifle. Both can have same magazine size. You should actually go and try to buy a firearm before commenting on what the "Majority want" cause the majority of you are dumb when it comes to guns.

You ever shoot a 556 at 500 yards? Most normal people need to be stationary with bags to get a proper shot, wind efficiency, bullet drop of about 34-38 inches. Sure the bullet can go 500 yards, can it go accurately, not without proper training that includes an actual 4x scope not a red dot. NEXT.

Im surprised there's any attempt to regulate firearms in the USA. Its a perfect method for allowing Simple Jack to think he has choice or freedom. It seems to be highly effective from what I can tell on here.

ya.. everyone is poor enough to need 2 jobs, and struggle paying of education and medical bills.
they can oil their guns at night to convince themselves they are so "free".

the only people who don't make negotiations in war are the people who die or lose so soundly they have no leverage left to negotiate with. losing gun ownership rights is a given, whether it's 50 years, 100 years, or 200 years. it will happen. its a matter of how bumpy that road is in the meantime, and you're just a bump.
