Covid taught me something like the flu can be fairly scary when politicized

After all the stats you can find everywhere.. You still think it was a bad as the "flu"
Please account for the # of deaths and show me any year where that many people died of the flu.

We acknowledge that people do die from covid, however we are saying that it's really not all that different from the flu. It's what I have always said: covid is just a super flu.

In the U.S. the flu kills 100k people in the absolute worst years.

Covid killed 5x that after massive mitigation strategies.

So yes. It's a "super flu", in the sense that it would have basically lead to mass graves and a total collapse of all healthcare systems the world over if not actively mitigated.

"Total collapse of health care systems" is a speculation. Not saying you must be wrong. Just that you could be wrong.

Even given the absolute most generous assumptions, the regular strain of Covid would have totally collapsed our healthcare infrastructure within 60 days if left to spread without any mitigation.

When you give Covid every benefit of the doubt and still come to the conclusion that it would totally overrun every hospital bed by a huge margin within the first two months, yeah. It's hard to argue against.
