Is it not the American dream to have it all? You can't even have a one-bedroom apartment in major metro cities that on average costs less than $1,500 a month. It's not a surprise they're crying for change.
You might call it being lazy, but statistically the wage market has not kept pace with the cost of goods / shelter.
Yes frivouls spending is up but lets look at the real costs for a second. Rent all of a sudden costing $1,500, health insurance $250, you better have a cell phone plan because you're working all the time now. Tenants insurance, car insurance or a metro pass, the baseline spending per month for some average 2X year old in a city is absurd now.
