A weak American sovereign is objectively good for Russia though. They are aggressively exploiting this weakness while it exists.

Our weakness is in our division.

I’m fine with saving money on wars and interventions and instead being more self focused.

Why can’t we be like Canada or Norway? Why not care more about what’s going on in our countries? Why are you hawks so preoccupied with countering Russia at every step instead of caring about our people?

I don’t see Canadians or Europeans tripping all over themselves about Russia or Syria. Maybe it’s time to move on from thinking we are the worlds police man?

The EU DOES care about Russia/Syria...probably more than Americans. They took FAR more refugees and depend on Russia for oil. By ourselves, we aren't the world's police. We're stronger with allies and that's why all this stuff matters.

The basic premise of post-WW2 American foreign policy is that our security alliances allow countries like Japan and Germany to focus on economic growth, rather than military buildups and perpetual conflict. If Japan's security wasn't guaranteed by the United States, they would be forced to build up their military and probably acquire nuclear weapons. If American troops weren't in South Korea acting as a trip wire, there's no telling what North Korea might do. America's security alliances have allowed Europe to become united and expand eastward, which has resulted in economic growth and democratic reforms for those countries. We've created a world order the benefits us from an economic and security perspective, and I don't think we should take it for granted.

Caring means putting your money where your mouth is. The american taxpayer who doesn't benefit at all is putting up the money while they, who supposedly care more aren't. I don't buy into this cuck ideology. I care about myself and my own. No we aren't better off by subsidizing all of the security costs of the world.

That's wonderful and all but it's time for it to end. Again, just because you've been conditioned to be a cuck doesn't mean it's a good idea. We spend 3.2% of GDP on defense while Germany spends 1.2% and Japan spends even less than that. I don't care about their economic well being i care about ours. These are rich countries and i'm not down to pay for their defense otherwise they might build up their military. People are living paycheck to paycheck here, people's wages aren't growing here. Oh! but we can prevent Japan and Germany from building their military!

... talk about lack of perspective

How can you say with a straight face that the American taxpayer doesn't benefit from all of this? A stable world means cheaper prices for EVERYONE and we are BY FAR the largest consumer in the world. You've seen what happens to the price of oil when there's instability in the Middle East. Think about what would happen West Asia was unstable. Think about Europe. America benefits WAY more by having a large military to enforce global security. It means cheaper prices for ALL AMERICANS.

I'm not sure why you think it's a cuck ideology either. You make it seem like America is this great power when it's alone and that's just blatantly false. Sure, no one could ever invade us or beat us in a war at home. However, our standard of living is due to global stability.
