yes you can. that's a really legally ignorant argument.
thats like people saying "you cant resist arrest if they had the wrong guy or you didnt have the weed on you that they thought you did".
obstruction doesnt require a crime, as crimes dont require crimes. actions are crimes, or they aren't. the only thing close to what you're talking about are statutory offenses, which arent crimes but violations of the conditions of your parole.
