Lol.
It's funny, but it's also sad that a late night host is so obvious about his liberal bias. At least the other ones pretend/pretended to be somewhat objective.
What you call a liberal bias is what others might call a bias for reality. I'm not denying he is a liberal, but of course everyone has their own opinions, and it's not his job to pretend like he doesn't lean way or another, even if he is an employee at CBS now. His show also has more of a political lean than other late night shows since that's what he cares most about.
First, due to his previous work, everyone knows Colbert supports Democrats over Republicans, and I don't think he's made a concerted effort to shy away from sharing some of his political views.
Secondly, I'll also point out that his previous employer was Comedy Central and he played a satirical Conservative character. So even if he was demonstrating a an obvious bias one way or another, it was his job to be funny and entertaining and not necessarily unbiased. And that's also true of his late night show, just to a lesser effect since the show has a different audience and isn't as provocative.
Lastly, let Democrats and Liberals have their fun with mocking this convention. We've been talking about how the Republican party is dysfunctional, ineffective, and an embarrassment for years now and the rise of Donald Trump more or less illustrates that in a way that is finally easy for most people to visualize. But while this can be sort of funny, for America's sake, I do hope that the GOP can grow in positive ways and become a better political party moving forward. Kasich was honestly a good choice for the party and represented a good direction for the party in my opinion, but that's not who Republican voters wanted.
It's just funny when I hear people talking about how the media has such a liberal bias. Are they biased become there is some mass conspiracy to make Republicans bad or is the GOP actually just bad sometimes? And no doubt there are more liberal newspaper and news sites, but that's just because liberals and conservatives get their news from different places so the media is just keeping up with demand from their consumers. Liberals tend to prefer reading their news and Conservatives tend to prefer television news and talk radio.
