I only meant for myself. I don't think you could feed a single major city if you took all the meat from animals killed due to overpopulating in the entire country.

i understand that you mean that, but what i mean is if there are still people who want to eat meat, then even if you wanted to be one of the people that controlled overpopulation (assuming it'd need to happen and the extend to which it'd need to), there would be a ludicrous demand for your position since the value of the meat acquired would be so high, since its demand would stay the same if people didn't already abandon carnism en masse

Hopefully overfishing is something that will only be a 3rd world issue in 50 years. Fisheries agriculture is on the rise, especially in the Midwest where fish is rather expensive and the great lakes are a concern for overfishing. What is really promising are the number of hobbyist fisheries that are popping up in relatively small space. Here is an article that somewhat illustrates my point:

http://offgridsurvivalguru.com/2016/03/16/1-million-pounds-food-10000-fish-500-yards-compost-3-acres-land/

That said wild tuna is something that really saddens me. I think in 100 years people will look at 20th century tuna consumers in the same light as 17th-18th century passenger pigeon consumers. I think they will wonder in amazement how we could continue to eat them as they dwindled and eventually died out.

To make things worse these creatures don't just exist merely to exist, they exist because they evolved to share a roll in their respective ecosystems. Okay, in the grand scheme of things, a fish species here or there dies off, it might have some impact, but nothing that the rest of the ecosystem can't rebound from. Extinction events do happen. But, if fish after fish species keeps being fished into near or literal extinction in rapid succession, we're bound to fuck things up. It's all a house of cards, a food pyramid. It's like we humans are comfortable with fucking with nature's house of cards and its animal kingdom, all the while being blissfully ignorant or adamantly in denial that we're one of the cards at the very top, where the fall will be the longest and hardest.

Edit: just realized I forgot how to play Jenga. Man time flies.

You joke, but I give it another 10-15 years before liberals truly embrace veganism. You guys should jump on board now, because the arguments are solid enough for liberal minded folks already.

They can jump on whatever fad they want. I'm gonna keep raising chickens, shootin deer and anything else i legally can eat, and taking my limit off every lake my boat launches into.

I just saw that (and I'm sure you did too) in GC before posting here. Whenever I see stuff like this it reminds me that this is what people expect to happen, so I feel obliged to deliver.

What's wrong with that?

Although I guess it'd be concerning if you think what follows is them wanting to enforce it on the population as a whole.

Yeah I just realized I forgot how to play Jenga haha, it's been like 15+ years. A house of cards analogy was more suiting. Couldn't edit fast enough, though. Oh well haha.
