You don't get it. Having no job pays less than 1-2 minimum wage jobs.

Why take away jobs from poor people who are trying to get by? because you think you'll be the one to get a raise and shouldn't have to work more hours or provide someone with any substantial skills in order to get what you want?
You obviously haven't thought this through. Just another 'wage slavery' leftist fanboy

The marginal productivity of many jobs in america is often not worth much more than a minimum wage job when all costs are considered.

"more fair"
The whole point of hiring someone is to make money. They have to bring in more than they are paid or its not worth it.
According to some studies the average profit margin for a fast food restaurant is around 3% before taxes and profits are not a guarantee.
They have many other costs besides employee wages and could easily choose to close/not open or cut labor hours if higher costs of labor are imposed on them slashing into their profits.

You should read this:

Or worse someone who is classifying himself in a specific group(1 that gets "hate" for who they are) then attacks another for who they are

Great example of who he is

Yep, this is the type of intellectual vacuousness that I have come to expect from kids on the left.
Not even willing to attempt to understand the situation or economics, dismissing dissenting views as "nutty" and "right wing" without even reading them let alone refuting them, but somehow i'm sure you are full of ideas of 'social justice' based on your feelings of what is "fair" that would have terrible effects on others.

"lol didnt read"
A true intellectual giant. We should all follow your economic advice and impose it on the whole country. Will you be running for office this year?

Though I have earned everything I have (not a lot, but certainly enough for me) and have been employed since high school, I think that this seems a bit harsh.
Not everybody is as able bodies/privelaged as I am. Though I think people should have to work, there needs to be exceptions, and it would require a lot of government employees to handle things on a case by case basis.

Yeah he actually seems like a genuine asshole. Some ppl are so broke in some areas in the world, that they'll even eat their own vomit to survive, and on the other hand you got this asswipe thinking that those very same people who see their families starving to death are looking up at the top 1%...

I knew Kevin o Leary would say outrageous stuff on dragons den but this is alarming.

You guys realize that only about 40-45% of Americans work, right? Or that possibly half the jobs we even have right now could be lost to automation within 20 years?

They have a term for this. Its called the Luddite fallacy.
Sure some of the jobs will be phased out, but other jobs will arise in their place if they are allowed to do so.
We are nowhere remotely close to a post scarcity society. People have a ton of unmet desires they are willing to compensate people for providing.
Furthermore the technological advancement will mean more is produced per person and fewer hours of work are needed to sustain the same quality of life and lifestyle.
