any and all diseases that can spread to other children should be vaccinated for i agree. But thats a related issue not the issue at hand.

If a parent wants to not get their kid vaccinated and homeschool them that should be their right. If they want to shove them into a public school thats a safety factor, and they should have to get the shots.

I just dont want the US to have a legal code like NY City and have everything imaginable regulated. Common sense or parental safety issues shouldnt be legislated thats just bad law.

Now if a parents negligent and irresponsible behavior results in damage to their child thats another matter. But its entirely possible and therefore should be legal to raise your child in a bubble vaccination free if thats your choice.

First I realize that it would be near impossible for the government to monitor individuals compliance on the vaccines, the accountability resources it would take would be huge.

second your kid still would be a risk to others at any social gathering, or sporting event, anywhere they would be in the proximity of others.

the bubble wasnt a completely a metaphor. It could represent either an actual bubble or never letting your children leave home. Recently i watched a documentary about a pack of kids who had only left their apartment 4 times and the oldest was in his 20s, and they lived in New York. Wierd family but just an example of what i mean.

It seems the liberal media is pushing forth the idea that forced vaccinations are good for you

do you believe the state should be allowed to make it mandatory for your children to have vaccinations if they are to attend school or is that a violation of your freedoms as parents?

Depends, do you think the feds should be allowed to make it mandatory for us to have health care, or is that a violation of your freedom as a citizen?

To elaborate and rant, Obamacare basically makes healthcare like this.... You go to the grocery store because you need a small bag of sugar. When you get there, you're informed that if you want to buy sugar you have to pay the store 4 times the cost of that bag of sugar per month, even though you really only need that one bag, if that, every year. Then you're allowed to purchase the sugar... and if you buy $6,000 worth of sugar after that you get a discount.

obamacare isn't anywhere near what i hoped it'd be but every time i look south of the border i wonder why all these poor people are so opposed to the concept of universal healthcare itself when medical costs are the leading cause of bankruptcy :/

because fat poor people dont want to pay for fellow fat poor peoples illnesses in tax hikes. Even when i was poor as fuck i considered it my civic duty to not apply for food stamps because i didnt consider my situation worthy of the need even though i qualified.

The idea of the govt. paying for every mayonnaise eating chronic poor chronic over-spender's hypochondria scares the fuck out of me.

Your country can only get better regarding obesity, i wouldn't mind to try to change something if i was there.

you realize successful businesses are successful precisely because they don't subscribe to this mentality and take advantage of every opportunity they have available to reduce costs?

this pride of yours can be quite disastrous
