"dangerous" dogs are all in the upbringing. I've met sweetheart pits, and I've met rottweilers that were used as a penis extension by greaseballs, and their behaviour was night and day.

I don't think a dog should ever be held accountable for its actions, the owner should.

Also, it seems like everytime someone gets mauled by a dog around here, it's some lab mutt.

its saying don't buy your pitbull from a poor breeder because of the effects abuse has on a dog. stop trying to twist it into its the breed and not the way the breeder treats their dogs.

if you buy a pitbull that has been abused and beaten its is ofcourse going to be a problem because of the life its lived. again stop blaming the breed for the way their owners raise/treat them.

WOW way to much to get caught up on right now but ill put in my 2cents

I find it funny how many idiots think Pits are just killing machines destroying anything that looks at them wrong.

I have owned several different breeds of dogs from German shepherd's to Pits' to Masiff's & can honestly say my Pit is one of my most relaxed cool headed dogs I have ever had or been around. He is great around kids & when people are over etc. He is very smart & listens awesome, etc.

He currently weighs about 90-95lbs & looks very intimidating but you would never guess how much of a baby he really is until you met him.

Now as far as dogs being off the leash I can agree that unless you are at a dog park you are taking a risk no matter how trained your dog is. The only time my dog is off a leash is if we are in the backyard, etc. or in like a private cove @ the lake. Whenever we are around other people we keep a leash on him as a courtesy.

Here he is next to a 10-22 for size reference
