Dude... it's pretty frickin' simple... one of the many issues trump campaigned on nominating conservative judges who would overturn roe v wade... therefore any judge trump nominates is just about 100% going to try to overturn row v wade (you do know Pence is involved with this process, right? You think Pence is going to let Trump nominate a judge who woupd be pro roe v wade? Get real...) therefore if Susan Collins was serious about protecting abortion rights like she claims, she would not seriously consider just about any of Trumps nominees...

True, but it doesnt surprise me in the slightest that the Supreme Court has slowly come to reflect the same divisions, the same polarization that characterize the rest of the country. There is no "we have let it become...", it happened inadvertently.
