There still exists an environment for conservatives and liberals and center left and center right to come together for the bettering of this country's people and for those affected by our policies

These extremes in discourse are a bump in the road. What makes this country great is that we have the tools to peacefully make changes in our direction based on the people's voice and as difficult as it is some days I still believe that we will overcome as people with all sorts of political beliefs. We are a young country and we have come far, this isn't the end of the sensible or the moderate on the left or right.

The smart ones have been jumping ship in droves now that the GOP has been turned into a trailer park.

How many conservatives call themselves independent to avoid saying they're Republican?
