While I agree that we aren't doing any where near as much as we could... other articles posted by proponents of both side of the issue, say that many of the recent asylum seekers ARE previous deportees.
Yet another article said that ICE has stated that of the 2500 that were crossing, almost 92% had some form or other of criminal background.
