The real problem is how the media uses it, as a weapon

I've worked with the mentally ill professionally for many years and I don't like watching either side use it how they do even when including professional opinions

they run out and grab a few to question Trump's mind and Clinton's body and it's not something I'm a fan of and don't believe it's used responsibly enough and it's only getting worse with the increased hostility

It's too often used to turn disagreement into diagnosis

Benghazi also went on way too long. Politicizing the Benghazi investigation and beating the dead horse was a mistake, and it shouldnt be repeated with the Russia investigation.
But I agree that there is a lot of hypocrisy going on.

Manafort et al. got indicted for charges which are unrelated to the Trump campaign and are far outside of the original scope/intention of the Mueller investigation.
Manafort is a scumbag and a very shady businessman, and he deserves to rot in prison. Fine. But the things for which he will likely go to prison have nothing to do with collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
Hence, Manafort's indictment - which I'm using as an example for my broader point - does not add meat to the scope of the Mueller investigation and therefore does not justify it. Send some prosecutors with a specialization in money laundering after him, but dont waste everyone's time and resources by having a special counsel go after a case like this.

Problem is manafort has strong ties to trump and trumps campaign and strong ties to shady russian interests, that alone makes this connection worth investigating.
Even think that manafort became trumps campaign manager because he told trump he could get russia onside?
We will probably never know, but there is enough circumstance here to be worth looking into.

So tired of all of the people who pretend to know what is happening in politics and what people in politics should do instead of discussing their opinions and reactions in a moral/analytical nuanced way. Like, for real.

What the fuck do you know bud.

Why shouldn't the mental health of one of the most powerful people in the world be questioned...?

Awful idea.

Psychiatric diagnsoses should only be given after formal evaluation. There's way too much risk for error and politicization with changing this rule.

I already gave my opinion in what you quoted

I can tell you that it will most likely be completely inaccurate anyway. People with actual mental illness are misdiagnosed all the time by their actual doctors

I ask someone that works directly with them have a lot of experience that I can use in general but it is very important to know the individual, their baselines, their behaviors, their triggers etc etc etc

tldr even working directly with them isn't always fully accurate or reliable, getting brought on tv to sway an election on both sides is not responsible or reliable

Soooo.. why are Fox News/InfoWars/Breitbart free to speculate on Hillary's health yet professional psychiatrists can't chime in on the health of Trump? Seems reasonable[/sarcasm]
