In his defense, the boomer generation did A LOT of drugs so we're probably just seeing the long term effects of the abuse.

Quite a few of these are actually pretty good ideas....

1) Renting is better than buying because it makes you more flexible with your career
2) Online shopping is cheaper and more convenient
3) Cutting cable and land lines and getting a smart phone instead is cost effective
4) You should definitely get married later in life so that you end up marrying the right person
5) Having a Bachelor's degree makes your more competitive than not having one

Yeah, and of course if you have debt you try to avoid investing into fast depreciating assets like a vehicles. Land lines are not even standard in new homes anymore. Our office just removed all landlines except one at the admin desk. I don't know how it works but somehow when clients call its then transferred into a skype like program.
