Watching that hearing, you'd think this was Obama's FBI director and Deputy AG. It really is extraordinary how Democrats are the ones on that committee coming to the defense of Trump's appointees.

I'd like to remind folks again, that both Rosenstein and Mueller were involved in the Uranium One deal investigations. Mueller was the director of the FBI from September 4, 2001 – September 4, 2013.
In DOJ documents released concerning THAT investigation, Rosenstein's name appeared numerous times.

I'm not suggesting they are necessarily doing anything wrong, just that information that is being redacted in the Trump investigation may be information that they don't want released to the public for reasons that occured before Trump was even running for president.

/e IF there had been some less than legal things going on in the investigations during the Obama administration times, then this would also explain why the Democrats are coming to the defense of these Trump appointees.

I liked the Gowdy part today

where he talked about this investigation going on too long....not having enough evidence....finish it up faster....

Why?

I think everyone wishes Mueller would get done, but the investigation is going to take as long as it needs to take. It's not a simple investigation, and special counsel investigations in the past have gone on far longer.

Gowdy already agreed that the Russia investigation was legitimate, and Mueller's not going to release evidence just to keep Americans and their politicians interested. He'll finish the investigation when it's appropriate. The day before he got appointed everybody in Washington thought of him as a great American with integrity who is extremely capable. Let him do his job.
