You have never made a post with any substance and anything you type in here is the written equivalent of a long fart, sorry if I do not value your opinion.

Are you really going to stick to the argument that housing prices haven't risen faster than median income?

1980 income $12,513
1980 house price $47,200

2010 income $50,600
2010 house price in a place like Austin $177,100

Moral of the story. Dont live in NY like a moron

What's average income in Austin?
Hard to find work anywhere cheap in aus.
Everytime one of my stores hires we get 30 + applicants, I throw out any with names that sound like they can't speak English, anyone under the age of 25 and anyone over the age of 55.
Leaves about 5, then I tell the store manager to hire whoever is breathing through their nose.

Take a look at income changes and tell me those compare to housing changes. Enjoy.

I have never seen such ignorance.

I know Canada better than the US so lets use statistics so we can put this to rest.

The average price of a home in Vancouver (since you brought up cali , ill use our cali) in 1984 was $116,400. The average after tax income in 1984 was $52,500in Vancouver

Lets look at today. Average price of a home in Vancouver is $761,742. The average after tax income in 2010 was $55,500

You claim to be the math tutor. Do the math.

Let me ask you did the change of $3,000 in average income compensate for the 600K change in the average home?

Must be reckless spending creating a barrier from young people entering the housing market. I don't know how to dumb it down anymore than this. You seem to honestly be a simpleton.

I know nothing about Vancouver or Canada prices. Why you persist in this is beyond me. I said twice now, I'm talking about the US.

Houses arent necessarily more expensive. People just want to live in shitty areas like cities and in overly large houses for some reason. The other price increases come from poor mortgage practices.

better live in a shed in rural alabama
it's not like the jobs are in the cities or anything ^_^

Okay , across the entire US the average income in 1984 was $22,401. The average price of a home was $82,500

In 2016 the average income $59,176 and the average price of a home is $394,600.

That is US Govt statistics.

Lets see if the math tutor can manage to do division.
