Please do the math using the annual social security cap for your working years. Again making 30 an hour you were not maxing contributions so take that into consideration.

Now show me how you paid for yourself and multiple others.

You boasted it, so own up.

No one expects to be a ceo out of collage that's your own fantasy so you can claim that.

Actually you started in with the SSI crap. Post #20545. And just for you info, I paid the same tax rates you did. Actually more because I ran zero exemptions.

Nobody whined more than boomers. The last time a boomer opposed a war it was vietnam, and it was only because it targeted their own hedonistic lives. Their culture during this era was defined by protest, hippies, sex, music and drug use. They then went on to become the politicians that would put forth the drug war, locking people up for decades for possessing the drugs that defined their own youth. They became Tipper Gores demanding censorship, the neo-con right-wing that demanded censorship and shouted any none religious persons down, constantly whining in the name of their own selfish interests and beliefs. Now they spend their time online, whining about millennials, making up stories about toast, talking about BACK IN MUH DAY and criticizing anyone wanting healthcare or a raise in minimum wage, as they get a free paycheck from millennials each month and enjoy medicare.

What are you smoking? The boomers were the ones that FOUGHT in the Vietnam war.
As for drug use and that BS, in the 70's we were reading articles called... Grandma was a junkie. Point is, this crap is the same for every generation. Deal with it. Grow up. Stop cry cry all the time. Put on your big boy pants... etc., etc., etc.

No, I only tutored math for 8 years when I was in college and also working. I made $30/hr building houses... for millennials, who all thought they needed 3 bathrooms, a TV in every room etc.

You guys need to realize that the average person in the boomer years, was just like the average person now, except we didn't whine as much.
Now if your want to say the boomer CEO types ruined your life, that would be better... still incorrect, but better.
One of you blamed the boomers born in 1946 for all the wars. Think about the dates.

Here's the way life works. If your life sucks, you're doing something wrong. Your bed is what you made it.
Times now, are just like times when I was young. Most people bust their asses all day long just to survive. This "I just got out of college, where's my CEO-ship, is where the delusion is".
You'll figure it out one day. I just hope you don't feel so put upon that you off yourselves, or something stupid like that.

Except if you look at how the generations before the boomers described them you will see that, shocker, the same things you are saying now were said about your generation.

The older generation always scapegoats thw younger generation because the younger generation is an easy target.

I'm not the one claiming I paid for myself. I'll never see what I'm paying in. You are beyond gone.

The younger generations ALWAYS blame the older. It's just easier for me to admit that... now. You still being the younger generation can't admit to yourselves that all the young generations blame the older.

The difference being that the older generation actually did cause the problems since theyve been the ones in power.

the draft accounted for men born between 1944 and 1950, it certainly included some boomers. Yet boomers made up the majority of the youth movements that protested the war, the ones who got exemptions from the draft due to schooling. That was a boomer movement.

And that same generation were the ones IN the Vietnam war.
Think about it. born in 44, would be 20 in 64. That date ring a bell?

/e Hell I only missed the end of nam by 32 days, when I enlisted, right out of 12th grade.

Yeah, that's true, but it's also wrong.m Every generation is just doing the best they can. THAT is what you learn and can admit when you get older.

Boomers are 1946 - 1964

Know where else the 18-20 something boomers were during the war? enjoying their cheap tuition universities & colleges that allowed them to get out of the draft. Know what lead the anti-war movement? young college students.
