Considering, on average, liberal areas are vastly more successful than conservative areas, I'd say they're unrelated.

If you exclude black people, who vote Democrat because Republicans will pass implicit support to the KKK, then it's a pretty clear predictor that the more rural white trash and nanny state dependent you are the more likely you are to be conservative.

anecdotal ‘evidence’ from his personal experience (only he voted for a democrat that helped craft the legislation which permanently separated black fathers from their children disproportionately than any other race, hence him isolating that group in his “analysis”)

Next time you post a link at least skim it for some relevance.

Lets exclude the ultra reach, the top 1-2%. If we do that we would see that much of the backbone of American wealth is concentrated in the suburbs. Suburbs which are mostly white, whether it's in some of the most liberal states or conservative. I live in New York state, my city votes democrat pretty much all across the board but if you drive 30 minutes to some of the most affluent neighborhoods most of them have republican elected officials.
