Earlier today a staff member inadvertently posted an offensive cartoon on my social media. I do not make my own social media posts and when I discovered the mistake it was immediately deleted.

How the hell can he know if what somebody else did was inadvertent? Not only was it somebody else who did it, but it was also a mistake when that guy did it. Two levels of excuse makes it seem worse.

that's a very good question that can be applied to many things in politics. Mind reading "true intent" is something that occurs too often.
