Honestly, from my perspective, you're just like most people I see go into education.

They tend to be pretty unintelligent, and unable to really do much else, so they just default to teaching because it's one of the only options and convince themselves that they really like it or was always motivated by it.

People who are competent, even if they don't find a job in their field, can find a decent job in something using their degree as a door opener.

If you want to talk about college students, the grand majority of people there are incompetent in comparison to people who have life experience and jobs and those who are actually exceeding the average.
