I understand why people are outraged over US authorities taking babies away from migrants... but what's with the crocodile tears? I don't remember Maddow or any other liberal on television about to cry over Obama blowing up little kids in the Middle East with drones.

That guy has always been a joke, however like snipa stated, the tax nothingburger story made the joke more mainstream

The extent to which neither political party seems to care about the death of middle eastern citizens is bizarre to say the very least.

i stopped taking that bulldyke seriously when she pulled the "we have Trump's taxes" stunt, that turned out to be 10 years old and only what amounted to a cover page.

she is a big example of what's wrong with the MSM.

Just a weird reaction. I'm not a cold person, and of course women are more emotional, but she really can't report a sad story without breaking into tears?

I generally like her show though.

Seems like the evolution of click-bait

Now you can drop the video somewhere like /r/politics and get instant advertising because "TV HOST BURSTS INTO TEARS OVER X THING"

I don't know. I don't do that thing where we all pretend so called elites in the media and government aren't real human beings. At the same time I understand there's a certain theater behind infotainment shows. Cynicism is part of the problem with our political discourse.

i used to watch re-runs from the day before after Morning Joe, now i skip on to something else. she honestly reminds me more of John Oliver than a news journalist. Ever present sarcastic smirk at the camera with incredulous reactions to every single story coming out of the WH, incapable of saying anyone in the WH is doing anything worthwhile (unless i missed it).

I just assume if I turn on a TV I'm watching actors acting.
I'd like to believe that's a more optimistic worldview than thinking Maddow or Colbert are as deranged as the characters they play on TV.
They know their audiences, they know their appeal. Is it cynical to figure they're exaggerating their real beliefs for dramatic effect?
