Cultural appropriation is NOT exploring and enjoying another's culture. It's not even adopting aspects of that culture into your own life such as listening to Ladysmith Black Mambazo or wearing a kimono.

Cultural appropriation is what happened to black blues artists in the early 1900s when Son House, Howlin' Wolf, Lightnin' Hopkins and others got paid jackshit for their awesome talent and were forced to be 'backdoor men' (not allowed to use the front entrance to a club they were performing in) and then white dudes come along and start playing the blues and make millions off it.
It's all these white-owned shitty herb, incense and 'native american healing' shops that take folk beliefs and commercialise them in the most superficial and disgusting way.

Cultural appropriation, in short, is the commercialisation of aspects of other cultures for the profit of people not of that culture and/or the use without appreciation of those aspects of other cultures. If you're respectful and aware of where whatever you're doing/wearing/etc comes from - that's not cultural appropriation. That's cultural appreciation.

Personally I think a little more cultural appreciation could only be a good thing.
