so, what was the purpose of Nancy Pelosi's bill?
did this bill come with her looped in through Schumer, or did he just make a power play and tell her he was striking a deal with or without her?

Why do we have to pretend there's some grand strategy? We're in a crisis, Pelosi for whatever reason thought putting together a bill would be worth it, and now it's not relevant.

Like I said yesterday, it would be unthinkable for prolonged gridlock to happen. A bill had to get through, and Democrats holding it up for an extra day was legitimate. Everybody on the right feigned outrage after Mitch forced a vote, but here we are with a compromise.
