This argument is completely absurd.
Biden has run a campaign that has mostly refused to pander to the far-left woke fringe. He was the most moderate member of the field. And Democratic voters chose him... with a larger margin than Hillary won in 2016. The idea that Biden's going to change who he is, who he's always been, once he becomes president, even though he hasn't during the campaign, is laughable. First, it presupposes the ridiculous Trumpist argument that the guy has dementia and isn't capable of functioning as an independent person. Second, it completely ignores the political reality that forces Democrats, even when they have the votes to pass legislation, to take the moderate path. Governing as an openly divisive president isn't normal... Biden has no reason to pander to the far-left, especially after he's won.
Also, there's no good reason to believe that re-electing Trump is going to disrupt the ascendant left-wing extremism. Why? Because he's been in office for 4 years, and it's only gotten worse. The reality is that a Trump presidency enables the left-wing and right-wing fringe. Biden's presidency would lower the temperature in the country.
Why don't these people just be honest about it? They're going to vote for Trump because he accomplishes standard Republican policy objectives, not because of a desire to combat left-wing extremism. They are okay with Trump's blatant corruption, his decimation of norms and institutions, his manifest unfitness for office, his divisiveness, and his fumbling of the pandemic if it gets their taxes lowered and judges appointed.
