It’s actual definition is “opinion based news” how is that different than CNN? Hannity has even stated its is opinion sourced news. I don’t know how many times people will try to defend this worthless source

Cnn overtly lies about facts. Fox has never hosted terrorists and criminals for interview the way cnn has (michael avenatti)

Then you aren't very discerning, or aren't familiar with them. Networks like CNN have incidentals but largely report factually. Fox has been, for pretty much all of its life, a propaganda arm for the Republicans.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say CNN is largely reporting factually. Do they say facts? yes

Do they give a grossly bias and paint a one sided view from the facts? Most definitely

And I dont find that they do this kind of thing incidentally either, but tbh I dont watch them much anymore due to how much I did see of it.

FOX does the same thing to probably a worse extent, but has the reputation of doing so. CNN is believed to be more of a "reliable" news source by people like you, making their heavy bias much more insidious and damaging to actual thought concerning current events.

Gonna be honest, how I read the bolded goes something like

"Okay, I was obviously wrong, but because Fox is so obviously biased it doesn't count because their reputation makes it easier to ignore".

Well, my original post was about how they aren't in different categories of shitty news sources. So one subjectively being slightly better or worse than the other is pretty immaterial to me. What is material is that I hope people like you stop looking down at stuff like FOX without stopping to think about how CNN isn't all that much better.

E; to be clear, I was never really defending FOX news. And CNN being believed to be a more reliable news source wasn't meant as a compliment, more of a depressing reality of our time.

CNN is not "slightly worse" than Fox. Fox is still an entire tier or two below CNN and even MSNBC. You're comparing an institution with a liberal slant (if you ignore the obvious corporatism slant) to an organization who's entire mission is being propaganda for a political party.

I'll jump ahead a little and concede that there is no way to prove either of us right. But I'll leave you with a question before I go back to studying - what real difference exists between reporting on current events with a "political slant" and being labeled "propaganda for a political party".

I get that you're trying to say FOX is "so much more" slanted that it could be labeled as propaganda. But I just want to point out that "politically right slanted" news is heard probably much louder to you from neutral than a left slant, and if you were force yourself to be as objective about it as possible, you'd realize they're both shit

I'm not basing my opinion that Fox is a propaganda arm on their political slant dude. It's literally the history of the organization.

Let me ask you, who from MSNBC, CNN, etc. could be called the Democrat equivalent of Sean Hannity? Literally nobody. And he's only one person. Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Tucker Carlson also have no equivalent and they're just the ones off the top of my head. Now tell me that CNN is in the same tier as the network that has hosted dozens of weekly shows with slant orders of magnitude worse than even the most biased CNN reports with a straight face.

Anderson Cooper is a fraud. His whole career is based on a lie.

Fox is biased for Republicans just as CNN is biased for Democrats, get over it. Only difference is most conservatives don’t deny the fox bias while democrats as usual see their bias as objective truth and vehemently defend a biased platform.
