Trump blatantly broke the law and the fbi / national archives bent over backwards for over a year to get him to return the documents and even went out of their way to execute the warrant in a way that wouldnt inconvenience Trump and tried to keep it quiet until Trump blabbering alerted everybody to it.

Anybody who thinks this isn't 100% on Trump is just being dishonest. This isn't even close. There is no way to paint Trump as being right in any regard.


That's the funny thing about it. Contrary to the dopey views of the cult, Merrick Garland is who he's been for the past several decades, and he proceeded cautiously. Trump probably could've just returned everything and avoided any prosecution. But he held documents, and then lied about it, and forced Garland's hand.

To my knowledge the Trump lawyers have made no substantive claim of malfeasance from the FBI or DOJ. They've thrown out vague nonsense, but Trump has affirmed that the top secret documents were in boxes in his house.

Trump has already basically admitted to having the documents on truth social.. So he really has no leg to stand on

ya i understand FIB knew about them all along no one disputing that and it was never a problem till .........
