So as information is reluctantly released about this shooting we now know the shooter is a non binary man with a drug addicted mother and (if I recall correctly) a porn actor father. The man committed multiple felonies recently, was arrested and charged, yet faced zero consequences.

OP goes silent. CNN abandons all so-called principles and outright denies this man’s existence as part of the lgbt community.

The only thing we are to believe is he is a hateful right wing extremist because his grandfather is a Republican.

Despicable example of yet again dancing on graves immediately setting a narrative before any facts have been established to attack people who vote for republicans. Every day this becomes clearer and clearer.

Doubt anyone is happy of such tragic shooting... I don't think its important if he is left, right, male or female... Regardless what CNN or Fox says.

He is obviously a sick person that should have never been able to buy guns. That's it.

so you think the person that raised a mass shooter.. And how willfully would rather have a serial killer as a son vs a homosexual is a good candidate for raising children.
no wonder your so confused.

You have absolutely no idea what I am talking about.

I don't know about his Mom's habit but in addition to being a porn star dad also starred on "Intervention" for his meth habit and in his own words was instantly relieved to find out his son wasn't gay after finding out that his son had perpetrated a mass shooting. He also talked about how he encouraged and praised violent actions in front of his son.

Inconvenient facts.

That is my point he. He was relieved of any responsibility for committing multiple felonies, to the point they didn’t even show on a federal background check.

It is sickening. The narrative was instantly republicans and guns, when in reality the conversation should be prosecuting criminals. I brought up cnn because they are focusing on the preeatablished narrative that has long since been proven false.

I agree with most things you said. Just would want the conversation to be "how to decrease the number of future mass shootings"

74 million Americans voted for Donald Trump in 2020. For the foreseeable future, there's never going to be the political capital necessary to get seriously restrictive gun control passed. And even if it did pass, there's so many guns out there already that it probably wouldn't change the mass shooting numbers that much.

This one could likely have been avoided by prosecuting the guy for the felonies he convicted. Even if they dropped then to a lower level he wouldn’t even be able to get a gun here in Texas.

The past few years there has been a huge focus on prosecuting less and this is one outcome.

Thank you for further proving my point that y’all refuse to focus on what actually could have stopped this.

You would have believed your point proven regardless of what they responded.

So... I'm not a fan of guns. In general I consider them the weapon of a coward. I am supportive of efforts to restrict access to people who aren't qualified to use them or mentally stable enough to use them without hurting and/or killing innocent victims.

However, guns are not the problem in America. America has been flooded with guns for 300 odd years. Frequent mass shootings only started in the 90's. There are also a few other countries with large numbers of guns that don't have the problem. That puts guns firmly into the exacerbation category and not the problem category. The problem is multi-fold and nebulous, easy to debate endlessly. But guns aren't it. They just make it worse. Getting rid of them would just result in people choosing alternative weapons, if it were actually possible to get rid of them (which I highly doubt since they aren't particularly difficult to make).
