I agree. I want to believe the truth as well. I just can't see any rational reason to assert that any particular sect of christianity preaches the truth. If you can give me one I'm all ears.

I highly doubt that. Even if God gave you undeniable proof that he existed, you've said in the past that you'd spit in his face (figuratively) because he doesn't agree with your life style.

The only undeniable proof that God gave is that he his not willing to give a undeniable proof of his existence.

That doesn't mean I'd not believe.

I also said I don't think he is worthy of worship for other reasons. Biblically the god of Abraham is an extremely immoral god - he commits genocide at least three times and commands others commit it even more often, he sanctions slavery, he tells men rape the women they want to marry. The list goes on. His disapproval of homosexuality (which is what I assume you mean by 'my lifestyle' even though I'm in a hetero monogamous relationship) is one of the least of the reasons I would hesitate to worship such an immoral deity.

But if you could give me a rational justification for belief in such a deity then I would grant you it.

agreed with scaly for the most part. the scripture classes i took in public school were pretty gnarly tbh and they pretty much served to make us behave
