No, you haven't.

The topic is "Santorum wants to ban porn"

You redirect it to "Derp, look at these depraved individuals, they want to force kids to watch porn"

...you're the ignoramus that made that silly claim , I never once said anyone wants to force it . My problem is with people who think it is acceptable to allow children to have access to and view online pornography .

Which is perfectly respectable argument, but it's absolutely unreasonable to suggest that the government should prevent it. There are many methods through which the parents can prevent access to objectionable content if they so choose.

It's the best method to ensure you actually respond after dodging me for 50 posts (You still haven't responded to the last post, you just deflected to the "forcing" bit again)

Edit: More specifically, I want to know EXACTLY why you think the government should be doing this rather than the parents.

I saw my first R-rated movie when I was 3 with my dad in our living room (Predator, with an Alien and Aliens right after). I've always enjoyed the series and have come to appreciate the symbolism behind Alien more as I got older. Alien, in case you haven't seen it, is an allegory for rape. How horrifying, traumatic, and violent having your body taken over can be.

I saw my first porn at 14 at a friend's house on the internet. I had access to porn through free web browsers to get around parental controls. Never got into the crazy bondage/midget/tentacle/gay gangbang/bukkae shit.

That being said, I never raped or killed anyone after watching violent movies. I didn't have sex until I was 18, despite having watched porn for years and having a plethora of readily available partners in high school. I learned more about sex from watching porn than I ever did in class or from family. I learned specifically where things went and intimate parts of the female anatomy. I also observed at a young age that porn was pure fantasy, just like Alien is sci-fi. It does not show anything about the intimacy or the benefits of having a loving, healthy relationship.

I say you're morally bankrupt for being too lazy to teach children the difference between fiction and reality. If your children see people having sex and then assume it's okay behavior for them to take part in, you obviously have left them lacking in the right skills to enter into the adult world. I would argue they will need porn as a result of your (or anyone else) poor parenting.

Your ability to come up with excuses with which to dodge questions that you can't answer is awe-inspiring.

Just answer the question. Why do you think the government should be doing this rather than the parents? Why should freedom be sacrificed so that parents can shirk responsibility?
