I don't recall anywhere in science saying that something came from nothing. I could be wrong though.

Perfect sense.

So your saying these quantum mechanics just came into existence by themselves and THEY spontaneously spewed objects?
These physical laws just magically set themselves allowing for this to happen...

Makes perfect sense.

What do you mean they "magically set themselves allowing for this to happen"? I study mathematics, so that tends to taint my worldview, but there is a very real possibility that the laws behind quantum mechanics are the only logically consistent set of physical laws in which case obviously those are the laws that govern the universe. Maybe there are more universes than this one and we are here because these are the laws that allow for our existence. I don't know. My point is it is not logically inconsistent for the universe to have sprung from nothing. It is also (in my eyes anyway) not logically inconsistent for there to have been a creator who chose the laws of the universe so that we could live here. I don't know that either.

rding to the Big Bang model, the universe was originally in an extremely hot and dense state that expanded rapidly. This expansion caused the universe to cool and resulted in the present diluted state that continues to expand today.

Hot, Dense State != Nothing.

Since this forum is based primarily in north america and christianity is the primary religion here i can't see a reason for it not to be singled out. If we were primarily muslim i imagine Islam would be singled out.

Not without great peril to the disparaging party.

Doesn't mean you're not either.

I don't see the humor in this. I don't see 19 major religions trying to alter my kids school books, making billboards or knocking on my door. I graduated college three years ago. I have a really good relationship with my parents. I'm also agnostic.

If you say that we are wrong for believing the big bang theory because it came from nothing, then where the fuck did your so called god come from?

How did it get hot and dense in the first place?

O well then I shouldn't be arguing with you. Im here to prove atheists wrong...

But ya the universe could of came from this quantum shit but then you need a reason for quantum etc and it leads to a never ending sequence.
Unless you can show evidence of a physical law coming into existence by itself than you cant logically be an atheist.

The Big Bang is a theory.. Not everyone assumes that specific theory to be correct. Just because we don't know how we came to be doesn't make christianity the default answer.
