Ohh really? Cause he had playboy in his drawer at his apartment? I was a little kid, I went through random shit for no reason. Not like he showed me it. Plus I'm fairly certain it is only illegal if you are giving it to them, or buying it for them. I'm fairly certain people can show their own children pornography, I might not be correct, but I believe I am.

I said I'm not sure, but he didn't show it to me. I was just saying that I think it's legal.

The cigarettes produced 10 times as much particulate matter as the auto, comparing the first hour after starting the engine with the first hour after lighting the cigarettes.

Newer vehicles have improved emission rates. "It has been estimated that older gasoline vehicles and light-duty diesel emission rates are on average 100 times higher than those of newer vehicles," write the researchers. Low-sulfur fuel also helps reduce particulate matter.

True, how many new cars are on the road with today's economy?
How many Hybrids are on the road?
Not ALL cars are going to do this, but ALL cigs are.

Actually, the vast vast majority of cigarettes will not be lit and left to burn down to the butt in an ashtray without having been filtered through lungs. And the average smoker does not smoke 3 cigarettes in half an hour, either.

And it still dodges my original point; not all particulate matter is created equal.

It's awful to remark on the emissions of cars when you don't factor in the manufacturing waste. Typical cars have an enormous carbon footprint before they even leave the showroom.
