I'll just use an Aquinas proof and apply it to the universe to state that the universe does not and cannot fall into an infinite regression and was never caused.

The universe always was

Not at all. Since always is the wording to use for all the time that has ever been, and time was not existant before the Big Bang, it is fair to say that the universe has always existed.

To the guy with the vid:

I didn't know stone effigies made thousands of years ago by an unknown are more reliable than radiometric dating. T4i.

Not if you accept the Big Bang .

The original particle did not exist in a universe but in a timeless void . The universe still does not esist outside of its expanding boundaries .

Main Entry: al·ways
Pronunciation: \ˈȯl-wēz, -wəz, -(ˌ)wāz also ˈȯ-\
Function: adverb
Etymology: Middle English alwayes, from alwey
Date: 14th century

1 : at all times : invariably
2 : forever, perpetually
3 : at any rate : in any event <as a last resort one can always work>

At all times. Ergo, since there was no time in the timeless void, the universe has always existed.

True. According to the theory, there was nothing before the big bang. The "explosion" created space, hence the expanding of the universe.
