The boomerang of natural consequences. We shouldn't expect to foment wars to try to weaken geopolitical enemies without them responding.

The actual crux is that the West hasn't crushed the Houthis in response to them opening fire on international shipping lines.

And they imho weren't crushed because the far-left activists, college kids and Arab populations in the West were on tilt due to the Gaza war, so that it was a really bad time to produce pictures of even more dead Muslims. Particularly since almost all key countries (US, CAN, UK, GER, ESP) had left-leaning governments at the time, or were sitting on an explosive powder keg and couldn't risk angering their Muslim population any further (FRA).

I don't think this is it. The real reason is it's prohibitively expensive and there's no appetite in either the US nor Europe to start a war. Were using million dollar AA missiles and 6 figure missiles to take out out drones worth a few k and Yemeni lives that are worth next to nothing to the Houthis. It's the same story as Afghanistan, it's hard to win against people that have little to nothing, are fanatical and don't value their own life.

You don't have to destory the Houthis themselves, just their supply routes. Without Iranian drones, they are no threat. What were they gonna do without them? Shoot at 90000 ton ships with their AK47s from 1mile away? Cosplay as Somali pirates and try to board and capture these ships?

The Houthis are only an issue due to weapons they can't produce on their own.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Ya, most western countries are governed by a bunch of cucks but that doesnt mean that uncle sam and friends haven't been bombing the shit outa yemen since this whole debacle began. Youve had operation prosperity guardian, Operation Aspides and Operation Poseidon Archer all operating simultaneously. The houthis have been getting their arms depots bombed on the daily with 20-30% of their stockpiles obliterated.

The problem will forever be that as long as the houthis have hypersonics (they launched their palestine-2 hypersonic at tel aviv a couple days ago) and anti-ship missles (provided by iran), no naval assets are willing to get close to yemen because their sm missles and ciws systems get overwhelmed by cheap drones and then in comes the ballistics. The only thing that stops this is a ground invasion but everyone knows that aint happening.

Like hell, there was a day where the houthis fired 23(!) Cruise/ballistics at us destroyers because they were in range. That is a serious deterrent ability. Uncle sam had to pull back because it was exhausting its very expensive and limited-in-quantity sm missles.

Tl;dr: you can only crush yemen with boots on the ground (imo) and both conservatives/liberals wont do this.

Sarmat bros...we're going to best korea!

North Korea will likely request Russian technology transfers relating to tactical nuclear weapons, the advancement of North Korean intercontinental ballistic missiles, reconnaissance satellites and nuclear submarines, Kim said, speaking through a translator alongside Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

But he did say that South Korean military analysts could be deployed to observe the North Koreans fighting the Russians to gain more insight into North Korea’s military readiness.

Geopolitical implications aside: trading your most advanced and valuable technology for a couple thousand half-starved grunts doesn't seem like a great deal. ^_^
