i agree that the right is why its escalated to this level of serious nature, that is true, but that isnt also true of the left, bigotry, anti acceptance, is what caused us to be the target, nothing more

i said that saying the right wing "started it" is a gross over simplification. because "it" isn't as simple as stating "trans rights" then lumping all of the blame in the form of a timeline on right wingers.

trans rights in america are a diverse group of interrelated issues stemming both from potential legislation across federal, state, and local jurisdictions (for and against trans rights) AND social structure treatment of trans people in society bereft of legislation.

both on the legislative front and the social front there have been a combination of mostly reasonable demands and some unreasonable demands. when the right responds to a reasonable demand negatively we can simplify it and say the right is the one at fault in the timeline, even if the left initiated it with the reasonable ask. when the right responds to an unreasonable demand, even if their response is proportionately out of line, we have the start the timeline at the unreasonable demand even if the right winged response can be attributed to escalation.
