Social media contagion, yet again.

Old people can be very, very, strongly influenced on the web.

Lol, people tryna compare their drug violence to North American drug violence. Like they have anything remotely close to Mexico, whose drug cartels are as powerful as the national military. And how did they get so powerful? By trafficking drugs into the world's most lucrative drug market.

Sad as hell. California disproportionatly leads the country in the most mass shootings (and most other heinous stats). The assertion the US has a gun problem misrepresents it. Reasonable to say there are problem pockets.

Mass Shootings since 1982 https://www.statista.com/statistics/811541/mass-shootings-in-the-us-by-state/
California 24
Texas 12
Florida 12
Colorado 8

Illinois 5
Pennsylvania 5
New York 5
Maryland 4
Ohio 4
Virginia 4
Connecticut 3
North Carolina 3
Georgia 3
Michigan 3
Oregon 2

uhhh... no you don't.

US has an estimated 120 per 100 citizens, canada has under 35. now that's still pretty high, and for sure there is something culturally wrong with americans, but that doesn't mean that significantly stricter gun laws and fewer guns wouldn't have a massive impact on US death tolls - especially that of children.

https://www.kff.org/private-insurance/press-release/firearms-are-the-leading-cause-of-death-for-children-in-the-united-states-but-rank-no-higher-than-fifth-in-other-industrialized-nations/

Lmao

More guns in america than americans, but it's fine.

Well I'll save you guys some time and reveal you why (imo) americans have this sad record of murders of all kinds.
They do not value life as much as others civilizations. I could already tell you by the time I was a child when I saw billionaires hunting rare animals in africa and paying the hard price for it : all were americans.

For instance, they invented pesticides. This may be a detail for most people, but not to me : they love artificialized places where they can control nature to their will, just like they did with others countries.
They have big gardens but the pool is taking half of it and instead they'll buy cheap food because it's just not their priority (speaking in general, don't get upset you organic veggie-hyppie)

Many sociologists have shown that people living in a society where capitalism prevails over nature makes people more violent and more selfish.
I mean their whole existence is based either on destruction or on domination. Add to it that all their ancestrors were criminals in UK jails and you get a nice country full of sick in da head people.
The result does not surprise me.
If there is an opposite cvilization to it, i'd say Bhouthan ?
