Socially and fiscally conservative / regressive. Uses the bible to put social politics into a stranglehold, and is too pussy to take a genuine, well-informed stance on economics.

Pretty much the same as the republicans, but generally with less xenophobia and bible worshipping. They have a complex with seeing themselves as fantastically progressive and as America's only level-headed party, while in reality they're perhaps half a percent less corrupt than the Republicans. Republicans are the Washington Generals - designed to lose. Dorks and dweebs who don't understand that the country is ruled by foreigners and gangsters who have an intense hatred for American citizens. Republicans still think there's a system to save, and that they'll save it by playing by the rules and toeing the line.

Democrats? Beats the fuck out of me at this point. As a former Democrat based on anti-war, anti-corporation, I only see above mentioned gangsters doing everything they can to consolidate power for themselves at the expense of the liberal values (see liberal as in liberty) they used to fight for. Also, picking the winners and losers among demographic and other identity groups.

this subforum, as well as people who engage in political discourse online and in real life, would do alot to do further research on how much the people they support and the views they hold actually matter to the progression of the world

the fact that simply because i am transgender, which is not inherently political at all, i was forced to learn much more than i believe the average citizen would need to learn about how the world works politically, is just one very obvious truth to a major problem with the world

i ask a simple question, what does one think of what the phrase republican and democrat mean? it was not inherently meant to do anything more than create a discussion, yet how many people, mind you before i responded, decided i was trying to personally attack them? the fragility of this subforum, the "i know better you dont know" while blatantly eating misinformation as well as simply doubling, tripling, 10 timesing down on a bad take...its just funny

i could have simply ignored the thread altogether and it still would have been perceived that way, and that speaks a large magnitude on the significance of this subforums need to better educate themselves on politics, rather than engage in petty comments due to the gender identity of the original poster.

this subforum, nay a large majority of the website, painted me with a brush before i ever really stated much of my own personal opinion on political subjects, even you yourself, one that considers himself a "regular" im sure, wouldnt be able to know much about how i personally feel, due to any actual attempt i could make being drowned out by premeditated hatred
