High frequency trade only works because there are schmoes to leech money from in the market. If schmoes are no longer present then it would be like a game of ping pong with no winner. Aside from the main issue that wealth isn’t the issue at hand, its justice in the distribution of that wealth to maintain order.

Realistically we only have history to look at and it has never ended well for oligarchs.

There's a setting on TDameritrade for live market data. Imagine all the people who don't have that setting checked trading on delayed data.

And I don't know if suckers is the right word, sure there are some but the majority of people who lose are just unlucky individuals.
